Reigate & East Surrey

Introduction
Reigate High StreetGlorious countryside, vibrant town centre, a fine collection of pubs and restaurants and a variety of attractions, this is Reigate in the 21st Century. Reigate is a market town with a long and colourful history and a perfect balance of modern culture.

Suggested Day Out
We start off in the outskirts of Reigate, exploring the main attractions in the surrounding countryside before returning to Reigate.

  • Morning
For those with young children, a visit to Godstone Farm could be a great way to start the day. There’s the opportunity to see all the usual farm animals and children are encouraged to be hands-on with them. The farm also displays interesting facts about the animals so hopefully an educational visit as well as being lots of fun. You can also walk around the farm and visit the spinning room or pop into the shop and tea room.

Only open on selected days, but well worth a visit are the gardens at Gatton Park and Titsey Place.

Alternatively, why not download our Woldingham walk, which is 5.5 miles in distance. A circular walk to and from Woldingham train station, you will follow parts of the North Downs Way National Trail through rich chalk grassland, scrub and woodland.

  • Lunch
Head into Reigate town centre for lunch where you will find a good selection of cafes and restaurants.

  • Reigate PrioryAfternoon
Wander around the town centre in the afternoon and take a look at Reigate Castle which is located here. From here, you can also visit Reigate Priory Museum and the open parkland it is situated in.

For an impressive view of this part of the Surrey Hills AONB, head up to Reigate and Colley Hill.

  • Evening
Why not extend your stay in the area by seeing what is showing at the Harlequin theatre and cinema in neighbouring Redhill.
